Call for Trainers Writer “Embracing Diversity”
SALTO Inclusion & Diversity is looking for 1 author/editor.
Application deadline: 17 September 2020, 23:59 CET.
Description
Inclusion and Diversity are, as written in the Erasmus+: Youth in Action ID Strategy, two sides of the same coin. All youth organisations and youth workers have to deal with the fact that the their staff, their members and the young people they work with are different from each other in many ways, which means that they have to manage diversity daily. One thing is to reach out to different target groups to take part in the their programmes and projects, but once they are in we also need to equip them to deal positively with diversity of all kinds (different abilities, identities, social background, educational level, provenance…).
SALTO Inclusion & Diversity RC, in cooperation with the Network of the National Agencies of the Erasmus+: Youth in Action and European Solidarity Corps programmes, has in the past organised three editions of the “Embracing Diversity – training course on diversity management” (www.salto-youth.net/embracingdiversity2019) and would like to continue this process by developing a new publication on diversity management and is therefore looking for a writer, to help the youth sector:
- To learn about the diversity management, its roots, theories, basic principles;
- To explore concepts and different forms of diversity and inclusion;
- To explore different levels of the diversity management;
- To strengthen and develop youth workers and other professionals “diversity management” skills;
- To learn from approaches and methods used in youth work, but also in other sectors (business or formal education) and see how those can be applied and adapted to the needs of the youth field;
