Summary:
Sustainable development and gender equality are deeply connected. Covid19 pandemia has proved the necessity of placing life in the very centre of us all. Ecofeminism has different paths to make it possible. That’s why we are ecofeminist.
Group size: 25 participants.
For participants from: France, Greece, Italy, Palestine, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Tunisia.
Target group: Youth workers, Trainers, Youth leaders, Youth project managers, Volunteering mentors, Youth coaches.
Details:
25 people from 8 different countries will gather together for 7 days to learn and share about gender equality and climate change challenges.
Objectives:
• Raise awareness of current environmental challenges and explore the interconnectivity of those challenges with the gender equality globally;
• Develop a common understanding of the concept of leadership and gender and explore instruments for its promotion among civil society youth groups to help improve understanding of gender aspects of climate change;
• Develop the capacity of youth workers to work more effectively with youth in the themes of actions related to the environment and sustainable ways of life;
• Explore environmental educational methods and equip participants with non-formal learning tools that address the issues;
• Giving participants the opportunity to exchange experiences and knowledge in the fields of social entrepreneurship, ecology and feminism;
• Promote diversity, intercultural dialogue, common values of ecology, freedom, tolerance and respect for human rights.
Expected outcomes:
• Articles written by participants to share and disseminate the results and the feelings they had during /after the project on their local NGO’s and Facebook web pages;
• A live feed from Facebook during one of the days in order to broadcast the results directly from the activities (the session with local entrepreneurs);
• Implementation of 10 local projects developed in their communities (formal and informal spaces) to empower and motivate volunteers and professionals from their NGOs through the use of tools and workshops implemented in “Greenderaction: Green Equality Generation in Action”;
• Preparation of ERASMUs + Projects (exchanges and / or training courses) from the apprenticeships and the development of the objectives of “Greenderaction: Green Equality Generation in Action”;
• Creation of a digital toolkit that collects the main activities and methodologies used during the activity and the impressions of its participants.
Costs:
Participation fee: collaboration fee 30€.
Accommodation and food: covered by ERASMUS+.
Travel reimbursement:
Greece & Romania: 360€; Tunisia, Italy, France & Slovenia: 275; Spain: 180€; Palestine: 530€. Visa costs + extra costs for Palestine will be covered by the grant.
Working language: English.
